Willem Prep was created to give all children an opportunity to receive an affordable, high quality education, from the comfort of their own home. After volunteering in my own children's classroom I realized how many students entered unprepared and struggled all year long to catch up, I wanted to help. At the time I also taught ESL online to preschool aged children and have done so for five years. In that time I fell in love with early childhood education. About three years in, I created my own preschool course and have taught hundreds of children in my 2 day weekly programs. From there I knew I wanted to help more children, make a positive difference in more families, and hire others who wanted the same. I got to work and the rest is history. I am so grateful to have trained hundreds of teachers while creating engaging courses. Keeping class sizes small and structured so every child feels included, while interacting and socializing has led us to our success and happiness!

On preschool days, your child will enjoy learning from an actual preschool teacher (that's ME!) for 30 minutes then after class your child will have a blast with an optional sharing time talking to me and his or her friends! Each week students are also supplied with optional worksheets, crafts, videos and activities to extend the learning experience all week long. You get all you need and more!

This course was created carefully to ensure developmentally appropriate methods. Each class is aimed to make a connection and experience that will be remembered by every student. We have strong curriculum components that intertwine with each lesson taught. Throughout the class, questions are asked that spark social involvement, cognitive development and physical response. We love to read and end each class with a book to strengthen their vocabulary and language skills but, most importantly to have fun. Sharing time is loved by all! It is an optional activity (at the 30 min mark, this way we do not cut into our learning time) that allows each child to engage with one anther and share something, while they practice taking turns and using their listening ears. It allows students to make one final lasting connection with each other before they say goodbye!

What is the extra work for?

Each week students receive an abundance of optional supplemental material, videos, worksheets and activities. In addition students are sent virtual classrooms for the letter of the week, number of the week, and calendar time, each filled with songs, books and educational games. For the students ready to challenge themselves I have recorded videos of ME to teach them further. This course gives you everything you need at your fingertips! In addition, this course evolves each month to allow new students to hop in or out monthly as needed. The classes are also identical, just held on different days and times. With M/W and Tu/Th being a complete course for the week. Being a parent, I understand life gets crazy, this method has been created to allow parents the flexibility to switch to a different day/time without the student missing any information.

After graduating college I chose to stay home with my girls and began to teach online.
